Thanks for shopping with Neighbors this Season 🤍
We started planning for the 2025 Christmas season way back in the fall of 2024 (yes, really!), and after months of sourcing from some of our favorite brands, we began noticing a few clear themes that we think you'll love.
Timeless glass and metallic finishes are back— used for mini trees, gift wrapping, and small décor accents. These nostalgic pieces make every corner of your home feel collected and personal.
Velvet continues to steal the show— from tree trimming and bow making to garlands draped over mantels, arches, and stairways. It's the soft, rich texture that instantly elevates everything it touches.
Think trees, snowmen, and Santas— just like 15 or 20 years ago. The difference? The colors are wonderfully muted: worn navy, deep red, gentle green, and soft cream. A nostalgic nod, reimagined beautifully.
Plaid is everywhere— in pillows, LED candles, picture frames, handbags, and textiles. If you've always gravitated toward rich greens, dark reds, deep blues, and that Ralph Lauren-inspired, "collected over time" look, this season is for you.

Brass continues to trend in candlesticks, picture frames, and— one of our favorite surprises— brass-framed mini ornaments. The overall feel is antique, classic, and deeply timeless.

This year, greens look real— and the best ones are. If you can source fresh greenery locally, you can't beat that! If not, we've worked hard to find the most realistic garlands and stems available. You'll see far fewer sprayed or flocked looks this year— just natural, textural greens that last beautifully through the season.

Our favorite takeaway from this year's trends is how they remind us of the things we already have tucked away in plastic totes. A few new items from Neighbors Mercantile will pair perfectly with your gathered pieces from years gone by, or thrifted items you've found here and there.
You won't find many tacky LED lights or plastic snowflakes this year— and honestly, we're not sure there's any glitter in sight (at least not in our collections!). The fun surprise we saw (and added a few touches of) was pink— retro tones and hues of pinks are mixed in, but in a grandma's kitchen sort of way (we think you'll love it for a fun diversion in gifts or accessories).
In the end, this season feels like a return to warmth, texture, and memory— a mix of cozy tradition and timeless beauty that feels perfectly at home at Neighbors Mercantile. ✨
See you soon!
