Savannah Bee founder Ted Dennard learned beekeeping among the tupelo trees that grow the Georgia-Florida line, beginning a love story that continues to this day. Tupelo honey is only produced in two tiny regions in the U.S.: The Okefenokee Swamp and the Apalachicola River Basin.
